I am traveling to Manizales Columbia for two weeks in the middle of October. Is there anything I should know about the county and the Manizales area. I dont speak any Spanish and I have never been to Columbia. Any advice would be helpful. Thank you...

There is more industry in Pereira, but Manizales is more of a cultural hub, eventhough it has a bit less than half a million people it has 7 major universities. People from all over Colombia and neighboring countries like Venezuela go to study there. It isn't so rainy, and it is nowhere near as cold as Bogota, for instance today the temperature there is 87 degrees farenheit http://www.weatherreports.com/Colombia/Manizales No me den trago extranjero, que es caro y no sabe a bueno....
