Going to Colombia in dec.. question

hello there! well, i am going to cali, colombia in december. I am very excited because i havent been there for like 3 yrs already, and besides my dad and siblings are still there... they dont have the visa and passport =$. I am taking my boyfriend along with me and to be honest i am kind of nervous, since he is gringo and he doesnt speak any spanish at all.I would like to ask you guys some questions to see if you could help me!

1. my mom lives in miami with her husband, they have been married for quite a long time already. she is resident as i am, but for some reason everytime i ask her to do something to get my brother and sister (which are younger than i am, they are under 18)here she seems to avoid it, she says that we have to wait until she is a citizen and that it will take about 2 yrs after that... i dont know if she is trying to make an excuse or if there is any other way we could do to make then come quicker. Like i said, they dont have the visa or passport so they cant get out of the country, but their mom being a resident in the U.S., an she is been living here for about 8 yrs already, isnt there anything she can do to bring them?

2.I am taking my bf with me in dec, and we might be staying with my dad. he lives in villa del lago... i have been there before and i really liked it because everyone seemed so friendly, and besides my dad is there and he is been living there for quite a long time. but on the other hand, villa del lago is like estrato 2-3, not sure, and my friends from colombia have been telling me that it might not be that good idea.

3.When i went to cali last time which was like 3 yrs ago.. i sent the money the day before, and then i picked it up in cali, but i was very nervous when i picked it up because i had 1 millon+ de pesos with me, and thats quite a lot of money. I thought about taking my visa card, but then my uncle told me that sometimes people overcharge you with the card, and i am not sure if a card from bank of america could work in an atm machine in cali. do you think it would be better to just send the money and pick it up over there, or would it be better to take the card with?

I really appreciate your help! thanks
Lily

Take the Card-USE ATM's As Neeeded she can make application as a PR residence but can't wait too long or you and other siblings will age out. When she becomes a citizen the application can be "up graded" to reflect the new status at no aeditional cost. Tell her to do it now!

Good advise on the atm cards. My only advise to you is not to give too much informationr about when you are going to colombia, especially if your going to take somebody from EEUU with you

Use an Atm I was there for a year and used my atm card, whenever i needed to..the exchange rates are usually better.
Just be careful and make sure somebody is with you when you draw out money.

All right, I'll ask: How come it took three seconds to euthanize Eight Belles, but the Womens NBA is starting Year 12???
