I need some ideas for gifts. I am traveling to Ecuador to visit some friends (families) in Quito that I have not seen in 13 years. Since I am living here in Colombia, I will have to take them gifts from here. I am thinking about food, candy or liquor. I want to take something that is common in Colombia (or in the Bucaramanga atleast) but is not easily found in Ecuador. Problem is I have no idea what the have and don´t have down there. Anyone have any suggestions please?

Can´t imagine taking arepas on the plain and them still be good by the time I see them. I guess it could be good if I was going to cook for them. I remember drinking alot of aguardiente when I was tehre so I am not sure how special that would be.
