Gifts for Family in Colombia

I am leaving for Pereira in 2 weeks and want to take gifts for all of my boyfriend's family. Is there anything you can get in the US that you can't get in Colombia? Gift wise at least. I plan to get liquor in the airport for his father, you really can't go wrong with that. I'd appreciate any advice!!

Thanks!!

for mom & grandma High-end fine chocolates, small bottles of fine perfumes (I saw a 5 pack of Oscar de la Renta at a department store not so long ago).

More gift ideas Hi - About 3 months ago I went to Medellin to visit a friend's family. She recommended "cremas" from Bath and Body Works for the women in her family. I took small gift baskets of lotions and body sprays and they LOVED it. Also I agree with the fine chocolates. I took that to the father and grandfather and they were appreciative.

Gift sure to Please Guitar picks, church keys and the Animal King in Spanish. Baby moon hub caps to fit a jeep if you've got the room.

Two Ideas I've traveled to Barranquilla twice in the last three months. Both times I brought about 10 small containers of Altoids cinnamon flavored mints. The response both times was amazing. Now every time I go back I've been told one of the requirements is to bring mints. The second suggestion is to bring as many of the yellow "Lance Armstrong" wrist bands as possible. At the moment they are very popular in Colombia and the available supply is very limited (or non-existent).

Thanks! Thanks for all the help. Surprisingly, I just donated to the Lance Armstrong fund and received some of the wristbands, I was going to bring one for my boyfriend but now that I know they are in high demand, I will take one for his brother also. Bath and body works for mom and grandma should be good.

Thanks again! I'll be sure to post some pictures of Pereira when I get back!

Lance Armstrong wristbands? I've heard it all now. Sure I think the guy's worthy of admiration but...
