I'll be doing some much needed travelling around Colombia in december, and have a couple of specific questions that maybe some of you may help me with:
-How long does the bus take from Medellin to Santa Marta?
-How much does it cost?
-We plan on staying in Taganga, probably La Casa de Felipe as it looks really nice and prices aren't too bad... any other suggestions?
-What's the best way to spend a night inside the Parque Tayrona, and how much is it gonna cost?
Thanks a lot to anyone who might give some hints, and sorry if any of this has already been answered but I haven't seen any of these type of questions lately...
Por favor los colombianos en este foro tambien responder si tienen alguna informacion. Gracias!

elmodefoque says on Oct 14, 2004, 07:16: dude, I love Taganga, it reminds me of the Greek islands, not that I been to Greece, I watch the travel channel all the time. I guess going there by bus is more exiting and from Medallo you could make a stop at Cobeñas. What I would do is fly directly to Barranquilla, spent a couple days and then take the bus to Taganga (lots of weed smoking there) and also continue 2 hours north to a hidden place called Buritaca where the cool mountain river flows into the warm Caribbean. . ASK NOT WHAT THE PUSSY CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR THAT PUSSY!!!!!!!!!! CAT LOVER 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Miguel says on Oct 14, 2004, 10:01: Hmm That would be one long assed bus trip from Medellin to Santa Marta, not to mention the ever present possibility of unwanted delays (insert one of half a dozen scenarios here). I side with Elmo and suggest hopping Avianca or ErrorRepublica to Barranquilla, then it's a short hop to Santa Marta by bus or taxi, if you want to splurge a bit. I stayed at Tamaca and it was ok at the time, but on the next visit I will shop around for something better.
