Getting to Santa Marta

I'll be doing some much needed travelling around Colombia in december, and have a couple of specific questions that maybe some of you may help me with:

-How long does the bus take from Medellin to Santa Marta?
-How much does it cost?
-We plan on staying in Taganga, probably La Casa de Felipe as it looks really nice and prices aren't too bad... any other suggestions?
-What's the best way to spend a night inside the Parque Tayrona, and how much is it gonna cost?

Thanks a lot to anyone who might give some hints, and sorry if any of this has already been answered but I haven't seen any of these type of questions lately...

Por favor los colombianos en este foro tambien responder si tienen alguna informacion. Gracias!

dude, I love Taganga, it reminds me of the Greek islands, not that I been to Greece, I watch the travel channel all the time. I guess going there by bus is more exiting and from Medallo you could make a stop at Cobeñas. What I would do is fly directly to Barranquilla, spent a couple days and then take the bus to Taganga (lots of weed smoking there) and also continue 2 hours north to a hidden place called Buritaca where the cool mountain river flows into the warm Caribbean. .

ASK NOT WHAT THE PUSSY CAN DO FOR YOU, BUT WHAT YOU CAN DO FOR THAT PUSSY!!!!!!!!!! CAT LOVER

Hmm That would be one long assed bus trip from Medellin to Santa Marta, not to mention the ever present possibility of unwanted delays (insert one of half a dozen scenarios here). I side with Elmo and suggest hopping Avianca or ErrorRepublica to Barranquilla, then it's a short hop to Santa Marta by bus or taxi, if you want to splurge a bit. I stayed at Tamaca and it was ok at the time, but on the next visit I will shop around for something better.

La casa de Felipe is the best place to stay in taganga, altougth there are other hotels in fornt of the beach, this one is just 2 blocks away from it, and is uscha great plac, dont doubt about staying there I REALLY JUST LOVED IT and s so cheap for the great service you get.
Actually thre´s a promotion on avianca to buy tickets for 149.000 pesos if you pay with a visa card, and you can travel till the 15 of december... but only if you are in Colombia i guess.
