My girlfriend and I are planning to get married soon in Colombia. She has twice been refused a visa to come to Europe and WE FEEL THIS IS OUR ONLY OTHER OPTION....after two years of trying to get to Colombia as often as I can we really want to be together and start planning our future.
Do any of you know what happens after the civil marriage?
Can we travel to Europe as husband and wife or is a visa still required?
I would really appreciate any help on this and thank you.

vladimiro says on Feb 13, 2006, 16:17: spouse visa I believe you'll have to apply for a spouse visa from the country in Europe you are planning to move to. The UK embassy in Bogota issues a spouse visa the same day you apply for it! For the US, on the other hand, its an arduous 6 month process to get a spouse visa.
