Es correcto..A visa to Costa Rica is very difficult. Not just because they are a mini USA but indeed the fact that the place is over whelmed with illegals there looking for work. They have it worse than USA because CR gets it from both ends Colombianos Y Nicos..for the most part

Just recently Costa Rica changed their rules such that a Colombian does not need a visa if she/he has a PR card or a green card. I realize that does not help you now, but later it may help.

It's hard to get to Costa Rica for a Colombian. Ecaudor (I think for now) and Panama are easy.
