Hi to all:
My fiancé and I are getting married in Cartagena in February 2006. Although I was born in Colombia and visit quite frequently, I have never attended a wedding in Colombia. I have lived in the US for most of my life, therefore please bare with my question. :)
Do any of you know Colombian wedding traditions? I know I could ask my relatives/parents but I would like to sound knowledgeable before I asking them. Your suggestions would be greatly appreciated. I want to mix both of our cultures at our reception (American/Colombian).

The bride has a garter on her leg (and not near her ankle either!) and one of the single men selected by chance gets to take it off with his teeth. The guy was darn near giving her a bj! Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
