Robert Jorge says on Jul 31, 2007, 20:02: The company that I hear consistently mentioned as the service to use is Servientrega. Their prices are a fraction of what DHL and others charge. Servientrega is as reliable as Fed Ex or like companies. Just Google that name and you will get all the info you need. Other people have also mentioned using Avianca and J and J Logistics. All three companies have offices in Miami. Before I realized the better options, I paid DHL a ridiculous amount to send an envelope from Colombia to the US. I just can't remember exact numbers, because it was so long ago. --"I believe in making the world safe for our children. Robert Jorge says on Jul 31, 2007, 21:19: What many people do, is contact Servientrega in Miami by phone. Then, they just mail the parcel using "whatever" carrier to the Miami Servientrega office. Servientrega will then forward that package on to Colombia for you. It is still much cheaper to do this rather than using a DHL, Fed EX, or UPS type of service. I have NEVER heard anybody say they got screwed either ... and people are much more likely to tell people about bad experiences than good ones. --"I believe in making the world safe for our children. miamimike says on Jul 31, 2007, 22:10: Servientrega is one of the best here in Miami, there are several drop-off locations, the main one being off the Palmetto Expwy in Hialeah, next door to Avianca Air Express(which is more $$). There are a few others like AB Express which also offers good service, door to door guarenteed in 2-3 days, like Servientrega.com "Wait a minute. What did you just say? You're predicting $4-a-gallon gas? That's interesting. I hadn't heard that." -- Feb. 28, 2008 --George W. Bush, Washington, D.C. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

lagringa says on Aug 2, 2007, 08:59: i've used zai cargo through a local agent to send photos to medellin. cost was reasonable - delivery w/in 5 days - tracking is available. i have not sent anything of significant value but have seen many sending more expensive items. there is a website - www.zaicargo.com which is available in spanish, english, and french. should be able to locate an agent or obtain more info. there. hope this helps!

ahda007 says on Aug 4, 2007, 09:13: I have sent documents from Canada to Medellin for more than 10 times in the past year thru Canada Post resgister mail and never had once lost anything for me. So if you ask for my opinion, it beats a heck of paying $80 CDN for purolator or fed ex. I only pay under $20 CDN for register mail.

vicshere says on Aug 4, 2007, 09:34: adding to my pervious comment.....ahda I agree with you on documents...I did in the past send postcards letters and documents through Canadian registered mail without a problem....but try send a toy, a gift or anything of any value.....you will then have a different idea....unless it has changed dramatically over the last 4 years listo 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
