I hope someone can give me a little advice on this topic from a colombian viewpoint.
In June I am going to see my novia in Cali (and ask her to marry me). I have known her and her family for many years and stayed with them several times while in Colombia. I am of the impression that to "follow the rules" I must ask her parents for permission whereafter we hopefully will acquire their approval. Is this correct ??
Ok, now we assume that this went well.
Should the marriage be held within a certain time period after the engagement, like 3 months or ???
Does colombianas wear engagement rings ??
If there is something typical colombian I am missing in the process of getting married... please let me know.
Gracias,
Valdemar
