Well in the situation above, regarding to the marriage would be important to know if any of the member of the couple has children under 18 years old. If the answer is Yes, an additional official document would be required for the marriage.

Now, for the visa, not only the marriage visa is the option, there are other possilibilties but each one has positive and negative sides.

years ago when i did all this --19 of em-- it was a cake walk. both with the colombian side and the american side. now, it's akin to a suicide mission if i can believe all the posts here.

all that aside, can't help you with the paper work, just a bienvenidos a medallo and maybe some time down stream when i'm able to get away from mom, we'll toast the good life.
