I have a garden and tend to it loveingly, however amongst my papaya tree ( that only lasts for three years) and my rosemary plant, mint, corriander, marjoram, aloe vera, thyme, sage, there are wild plants growing many of which are very colourfull and delightful to the eye even if they are suffocating my palm plants, so with this in mind and the varied array of birds that drink from the pool and insects especialy dragonflys ( libelulas) and huge fruit bats, does anyone know of a site to inform me of names species etc of colombian flora and funa, animals insects, I'm particulary interested in birds and herbs.

sloopskipper says on Jun 15, 2008, 18:19: If you enjoy the birds, there are many varieties of humming birds/colobris/picaflores in Central and South America, and they are attracted by red flowers, and of course feeders. I am in Panama City, a couple hundred miles from the Colombian border. Here are a few fotos of some that visit my feeder, and most are also seen in Colombia:
