negative vibes when I accepted the job as the first female moderator on PBH.

I still hear a lot of whining and complaining but not because I'm a woman but just because I apply my own judgement of what is a personal attack, what is not nice.

I've been reading Peter's further thoughts on moderating and in a way, I feel that this is something I've been doing for a while already: not applying any hard-line rules but rather judging myself, case by case, if this post or that warrants any action from my part.
It's not easy and I sure would appreciate a team to share this job that is so little appreciated.

here's the format idea if a certain post is blatantly disregarding the posted guidelines, it is omitted. if it is contested, it goes into a "jury box". at that point in time, it is voted on by the public participants here for a set period of time. i would also say that each contested post need a certain number of total votes to be valid. hence, if only 3 people cared enough to vote - the post is eliminated by virtue of non consideration by the public. if you get say 25 to 30+ voters, you have a participating audience and majority opinion should prevail the final verdict.
