Furnished apartment recommendations in Prado Centro (Medellin)?

Hi everyone, quick question: does anyone know of any, or who might know of any, economical minimally furnished apartments in Prado Centro in Medellin, available for say 3 months starting at the beginning of August? 500k or below would be ideal, but we can be flexible. All we need really are a bathroom and a kitchen area (although the kitchen can be empty if need be - we've already got all that stuff). It's also going to need to be baby-tolerant starting about mid-September. Any suggestions would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

That might be pushing it, I'm sure you could get a room somewhere for that price, I'm not trying to advertise, but I'm staying in 61 Prado Guesthouse, 30,000 a night for a single room, bed would likely be big enough for 2, or 50,000 a night for a double room, private bathroom...no bath though, just shower, at least mine is, but its a good one, and theres a full kitchen with dishes and whatnot downstairs...either that or you'd probably be looking at unfurnished, all the amoblados seem to be in the rich part of town, where you won't get anything for 500,000 or even close is my guess.

No matter where you go, the Korean tour bus isn't far behind.

august... I'm no expert on Prado Centro... Elmin and RatBag are just taking the piss. I take it your Mrs is Colombiana? Maybe her family can have a look around there for you.
Just courious... sounds like your on a very tight budget... why bother going back with limited funds? If thats the case. Isnt it better to stay in the US and make more money?

suerte

Ah papiChulo, if only it were that easy. My son's being born in September see. This would not be just any recreational jaunt down to Medellin. His mom's in the middle of a visa application process that should be wrapping up about the time he is able to fly up here.

rhyde, they are difficult to come by indeed. We're probably just going to opt for a non-furnished spot and buy what we don't already have. You can get refrigerators from pawn shops for cheap and then sell them back for a bit less when you're done. Works pretty well if you're only looking at a few months. Not sure how big 100 m2 is, but we're looking at an unfurnished place with 2 bedrooms, a kitchen and a bathroom for 500k by the Clinica del Prado.
