Furnished Apartment in North Bogota for rent (days, weeks, months)

I am renting out my apartment in Rosales (north Bogota). It is 60mts and has 2 bedrooms and one bathroom. It is a great building with gardens and walking distance to a Carulla (grocery) and the Gourmet Zone (Zona G) so there are plenty of restaurants nearby.

The place has been remodelled completely and has a lot of windows/light. You do not need fiadores (co-signers) or to sign a long contract, unlike most of the apartments in Colombia. But, I will ask for a deposit to ensure my stuff doesn't disappear and there is a contract. But, you can pay daily, weekly, or monthly.

The rent is $2.300.000 pesos per month, $600.000 per week, or $120.000 per day. That includes the administration, utilities, cable TV, and high-speed internet.

The apartment is nicely furnished and even has a 37" LCD TV in the living room.

You can email me here or call my cell in Bogota at 312 814 7787. Thanks.

You have posted recently that the apartment is rented until September. What happened?

Perhaps they figured out the price was wayyy too steep.

My tenant has to travel for business so he will be leaving early. It will actually be available next week again. He would probably be a reference for me if anyone wants to speak with him.
As far as the price, you can rent a smaller apartment (1 bdrm) in my same building for 150.000 per day (mine is 120.000). The building has 3 security guards on duty all the time. It has new furniture, completely remodelled, 37" LCD TV, highspeed internet, cable TV, all utilities and administration paid, ... And, I do not require a one-year lease or 2 cosigners. So, there is quite a bit of convenience if you have ever rented in Bogota before.

Almost all apartments this nice in Rosales rent for about 2.000.000 and don't include anything like this.

I can send photos to anyone interested as well.

You can also check out www.metrocuadrado.com or www.tutecho.net or www.muyamable.com for comparisons. However, any of these apartments will require a one-year lease and 2 cosigners. You'll need your cosigners finger printed and stamped at a Notaria.
I once found a place that said they would not require any of that and they would let me sign for only 6-months. Once I gave them the go-ahead, they dragged their feet for days. Then, they said they would require a credit-check company to approve me which would take some time on my part. I finally gave up.
I found buying much easier than renting.

GIB... don't you live near Salitre? Nice area but I feel so much closer to the action over here. I guess it is probably the same distance to La Candeleria, La Macarena, etc. of which I don't take enough advantage. But, I love the cheap and quick cab ride to/from the Parque 93 and Zona T. Not to mention, the closeness to Zona G, Chapinero Alto, and Galerias. So, GIB, why are you going to Medellin? Is that what I read? Time for a change? I met a gringo that had moved to Bogota after 2 years in Medellin... he said Medellin just got too "small" after a while. Anyway... sounds exciting. Good luck.

Carlotica: At this point, the apartment could certainly be available then. There are two bedrooms of decent size. One has a queen bed and the other has a day bed (single) with a trundle that pulls out underneath (another single). That room also has a nice desk and business chair since I used it for an office. Let me know as things progress.

I am the person who has been renting this apartment for the past two months.

I have thoroughly enjoyed my stay here and I have to go back to Los Angeles immediately on business for about a month.

(Please feel sorry for me for having to leave my beloved Colombia)

The owner is easy to get along with; this building is very safe and in the best neighborhood in Bogota. Many fine restaurants nearby.

I give this apartment 2 thumbs up.

The apartment is rented through December (not sure of the exact date but a best guess at this point). Thanks for the interest from all those who've contacted me.

Update: You can see photos on muyAmable.com but I may be removing the ad there until Nov/Dec. I'll update the photo link here at that time.
