I know what you mean Lisa. Sometimes I'll try to post something serious, and someone will mark it funny.

It used to be worse though, because it was possible for one person to put more than 20 funnys or helpfuls. I told Peter about how I was able to do it, and he had it fixed in a couple of hours. Now you rarely see more than 2 funnys or helpfuls.

Well, I am forced to be indoors, so I can spend some time reading here PBH, when it should be a gorgeous day, it is hot and dry and I am surrounded by fires, it is 2:20 and it is dark with an orange sun, smoky and thick air, breathing probably burnt plastic from many homes burning here in Los Angeles

Thanks Portena, it looks surreal, now it is like snowing, ashes are falling!, it is weird! I am very far from the danger, but I can smell it and see the horrible air, I feel for the people loosing their homes, not just rich homes, but I see in the news, lots of mobile homes also.

yo, lisa.....i can remember when i had my office at berkeley and wilshire (SM) i could always watch the fires racing seaward driven by the santa anas...what a tragedy. the palisades would be alight and, of course, malibu would be 'up in smoke'. how many years did that go on. every year it's the same. the fires move about, as the 'fuel' inventories change. one year it's in the canyons (topanga) and the others it's on the ridges above the palisades and even as far north as corral. don't envy you a bit...stay safe and 'this, too, shall pass'.

as for the family stalkers....what can you say...they have nothing better to do. don't take it to heart. they have no clue that you know more about what they SHOULD know a little about than they will ever imagine.
