So far, the best deals for me ( from YVR - Vancouver BC) have been Westjet to Fort Lauderdale and find a connecting flight from there. Mostly I use Avianca which requires that I take a van ride to Miami International. Also... sometimes, you can find a decent deal with Mexicana via Mexico City.

If I don't use Expedia I will book myself.

Aero Mexicana goes to Bogota from Calgary via Mexico City. May have something similar in TO/Van
Continental still (I hope) goes to Cali from Houston- Best way from the West
AA goes to Cali from Miami
I understand AA has cancelled their flight from Miami to Baranquila
Air Canada goes from TO to Bogota

Can go to Cost Rica and then with TACA., to wherever in Colombia


Best is to go to Expedia and Travelocity and do search, but also got to TACA and Aveanca and Aerorepublca websites cuz thier not covered by Expedia and Travelocity.

Won't get any sweet deals in this day of high fuel prices. Best to take the least amount of connecting flights and just swallow the costs.

Good luck. I have lots of experience trying to find the best flights from one obscure corner ofhe world to another- it aint fun.

I've been looking a bunch, I can go on AC standby from vancouver to bogota and back for only $243, but i have a job connection, so failing that, getting there can be cheap as the AC flight from YYZ-BOG often has ample open seats a couple days before departure, but they only fly Tue/Thu/Sat so if you can wait last minute, just look on their fare grid for the week you think you wanna leave maybe a week or so before. Getting back their often oversold, somehow, we're letting alot of people in, which seems odd because i just posted in a topic about how hard it is for colombians to come to canada, but anyhoo, coming back is very expensive, I'd go to Expedia.ca because you can actually get good fares there with diff start and finish destinations, multi stop routes and the price they show you is the price you pay, taxes included, none of this $300 turns into $640 crap.
