From Cali to Pereira & Closing Times for Bars/Discos in Pereira & Cali

Dear All - Hope all clicking good. May you be patient with your endevours and all that's good come to you and your loved ones.

Was thinking Cali to Pereira by bus as this may be easier and cheaper -when flying from out of the country-....any thoughts? I heard it takes about two hours by bus. If so, it is not that bad at all. Do they have buses with AC, safe in regards to carrying your luggage -not a whole lot-...? Will certainly appreciate any comments. I go for fun with the ladies, women and dancing away. I take it Pereira is just as good as Cali...on that note, at what time do bars close in pereira and for that matter, in Cali at the momento?

Thanks in advance ladies & gentleman~ be safe, be cool, be nice!!!

I live in Cali, so I can't give any advice on Pereira.
Cali to Pereira by bus is closer to 3 or more hours I believe.
1.) Go outside the terminal and check out the actual bus you are going to take before buying your ticket. Go in the bus and try out the seats and A/C.
2.) Bars in Cali close at 2:00 AM, and 10:PM on Sundays, unless Monday is a holiday, then bars stay open on Sunday until 2:00 AM and close on Monday at 10:PM.
3.) Cali party people still going strong at 2:00 AM in Cali take a taxi to the small town of Juanchito where the bars stay open much later. It's about a 10-12K peso ride or about 20 minutes.

2AM which includes big Friday and Saturday night? Serious??? Rather dunsanyan!!!!

About 5 hours Cali-Pereira is not really a short trip but not the longest as Cali to Bogota could be...

Please enjoy while you can. Please do so!

Yes, LuvsAddiction. We live in North Cali, and along with tens of thousands of other people, we hear Latin discotech music until 2:00 AM every night of the week except most Sundays.

I live in Pereira, so I can help you with lots of suggests. During the weeks there are lots of bars and discos open, but it´s far more lively during weekends (thursday - saturdays). Most of the discos are opened until 2 or 3 AM then, but there are some nightspots - like Guadalajara (in Dosquebradas) - there lots of people go to continue partying. It's opened until 5 or 6 AM.
And the bus Cali - Pereira, about 3 and a half hour (depending on the traffic.

Just came back from Cali (I live in Medellin)

Cali to Pereira will run about 4 or so hours, plus or minus depending on the traffic, the bus driver and a million other things.

The clubs throughout Cali, especially the sectors in the North like Sexta, Perro, Gato, Penol and some others all run until 2am. Then after that you can go to another areas that is after hours and goes until 6am, half the area is regular clubs and the other half adult. I don't remember the name of this sector, but all the taxis know...

I took a bus ride from Pereira to Cali, I loved it. It wasn't anything like people told me it would be. It was a positive experience.

In cali, and sorrounding there are bars opened until 4ish...
Pereira I liked less. I liked the way pereiranos take pride in their city, but I find that calenos are nicer...maybe it's because soy calena? je je
