Hi, has anyone traveled this route by bus? Please let me know how long it takes, if it is safe, if the buses are comfy, prices and any other important info. Thanx

About 8 hours. Yes. Yes. About 53.000 COP one way on Expreso Bolivariano.
If it's low season a reduction in price is possible.

A LOT depends on the conditions crossing La Linea, about 3.400 meters, between Ibagué and Armenia

We took the bus the other way, from Bogotá to Cali. It took eleven hours to reach the terminal in Cali and there were no unexpected delays.

For certain, the least comfortable aspect will be that you will be force to sit through 4 or 5 of the most violent American-made movies. I further guarantee that most of these movies will include outrageous American police brutality. While watching, please reflect on how the Colombian passengers must think of American society and law and order.

Not certain for me.

A bit of Chuck Norris would be just the ticket for whiling away those long hours on the road.
