No need to leave my computer on to use ooma. ooma is a standalone, low-power, always-on device that works independently of your computer. This saves you from the hassle of installing anything on your computer and from having to leave your computer turned on to make and receive calls. That alone could save you up to $20 per month in energy costs!

Skype to Skype you are limited to only call computer to computer with someone that has skype installed and is one of your contacts. With Ooma you can call to any phone (cell or landline) any number in the USA except 900 numbers for free.

Brian are you buying this......or selling this? jajajajaja You sound like a OOMA salesman. I think you have succeeded in selling this to yourself! Let us know if you are happy/unhappy. You can do the product appraisal for PBH.

So, Brian, I guess what you're saying is that few people in the USA have computers? And I guess it is hard to install skype?

Someone should invent a calling card, that when you use it, calls are free for life. You only pay $15,436 for the card.

Just because you have been to Colombia, that does NOT mean that you are anywhere near an expert on the place. Sorry. Truth hurts.

well, I already bought it and was hoping somebody on here had already used it here in Colombia. From what I read of the 551 reviews on Amazon that it´s pretty good.
