Fraud is a hang-up for prepaid calling card market

State and federal officials are cracking down on prepaid calling cards that promise more minutes than they deliver.

WASHINGTON — Rosalba Posada can tick off a list of problems she has encountered trying to use prepaid calling cards to stay in touch with family back in Colombia.

We used to have a huge problem here in Florida woth prepaid cards(they sell millions here with all the tourists and immigrants) but the Law came in a couple years ago and the Problem for the most part has stopped. Over stated minutes was a big problem, hidden monthly service fees ect. Florida's AG helped a lot on this problem.
