I apologise in advance if this is going to offend some posters, but I'm genuinely curious:
What is the strongest/most offensive taboo word in Colombia?
In the UK, the C word is considered the vilest epithet. In the US, I hazard it's 'mother...'?
So what utterance would cause most upset in Colombian polite society?

Robert Jorge says on Nov 4, 2007, 17:30: Kalder, I have heard from many people that "cunt" is also the worst word to use in the US. "Motherfucker" can actually be a term of endearment here. It depends on the context. But "cunt", ... well, there just isn't anytime where using that word is a good thing. I didn't realize the power of that word until I called my ex that back in '00. I don't know where it came from, it's not part of my vocabulary - but when she heard that word, all hell broke loose. He who farts in church, sits in his own pew. 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Plato says on Nov 4, 2007, 18:02: "Cunt" is the worse. Sometimes it's more indicative about the person hurling it and than the person receiving it. In other words, one would have to be really pissed (or ropable in aussie terms) to hurl that word. "Mother fucker", SOB, ass hole, bitch - these terms lost their sting eons ago. To me they just mean " Dude!!!!" kalder says on Nov 5, 2007, 01:26: Many people find swear words threatening, irksome or just downright silly. But in everyday usage their sting can be pulled by tone, facial expression, body language etc. It's hard to contextualise in that manner on the web. So I, for one, am content to adhere to the tenets of propriety. The F word, the C word etc. will remain as written. "kalder- have you ever had a woman?"--Sam Salmon 0 funny, 0 helpful. |
