I promised all of you I would report on the service I got from Fort Express a company in Cartegena.
I bought some electronic itemf from a company in the center of the US. The package weighed 7 lb. It was sent to an address in Miami ( $6.50) and then when the Miami warehouse notified the Fort Express office, that office contacted me with the shipping charges.
I sent them money through Servientrega, $46,700 on Wednesday. The parcel was on the flight on Friday ( they have flights on Tuesday and Friday) and the package was delivered in Bogota on Saturday.
I recomend this service with no reservations, give them a try.

MartinCartagena says on Nov 5, 2009, 04:17: I have used them several times and the service was good. I have used several of the other companies and they also have good service. Their office is only a 10 min walk from where I live. I thought using some one local to me would be more convenient. Wrong! They have some stupid policy that they can not accept cash.

larryrn says on Nov 5, 2009, 06:54: Actually, using credit cards would be best. I love to use credit cards - no foreign transaction fee (with Capital One) and earn points here in Colombia for travel. For some reason the place I use in Florida lowered their rate to 1.35 a pound - and my last shipment yesterday was about much less (1.35 vs the 1.80 a pound). They said Wednesday it would be cheaper (I don't know why or if it's a reduction in rates starting Wed or a special for Wed). In any case Monday morning I will have much stuff from Amazon.com!! Getting the stuff is like Christmas!! Horseradish, Wasabi, Sauerkraut, WiFI Clock Radio, Triscits, Kashi cereal and a hard drive!!!
