Fort Express is Great

I promised all of you I would report on the service I got from Fort Express a company in Cartegena.
I bought some electronic itemf from a company in the center of the US. The package weighed 7 lb. It was sent to an address in Miami ( $6.50) and then when the Miami warehouse notified the Fort Express office, that office contacted me with the shipping charges.
I sent them money through Servientrega, $46,700 on Wednesday. The parcel was on the flight on Friday ( they have flights on Tuesday and Friday) and the package was delivered in Bogota on Saturday.
I recomend this service with no reservations, give them a try.

I have used them several times and the service was good. I have used several of the other companies and they also have good service. Their office is only a 10 min walk from where I live. I thought using some one local to me would be more convenient. Wrong! They have some stupid policy that they can not accept cash.

The big deal with me is going to their bank, waiting in line, another endless stupid line, in a bank, and depositing money in their account. This took me over 2 hours yesterday. Their office is a 10 min walk away from where I live. I want to have some regular service, several times a month however it is just too much hassle to continually go to their bank, wait, deposit, blah, blah, blah.

Bill, If you sent the money by servientrenga, then they must have gone to pick up the money from the Cartagena office.

Fortexpress is not doing the shipping. They are just brokering the shipping from one of the other companies for a commission. If they continue this stupid policy, I will just use one of the other companies or ship less often. Same service, less cost. THEY NEED PAYPAL!!!!!!! I hope you are reading this Valerie!!! Almost all of the Americans living here have PayPal. If you make your service easier to use, your business will bloom. If you place road blocks and obstacles in the way, you will end up just like the rest of the small business here. Fighting for crumbs!!!!! If you need asistance setting up a PayPal account I can help you!!!

Just my opinion. Do what ever you want.

Actually, using credit cards would be best. I love to use credit cards - no foreign transaction fee (with Capital One) and earn points here in Colombia for travel. For some reason the place I use in Florida lowered their rate to 1.35 a pound - and my last shipment yesterday was about much less (1.35 vs the 1.80 a pound). They said Wednesday it would be cheaper (I don't know why or if it's a reduction in rates starting Wed or a special for Wed). In any case Monday morning I will have much stuff from Amazon.com!! Getting the stuff is like Christmas!! Horseradish, Wasabi, Sauerkraut, WiFI Clock Radio, Triscits, Kashi cereal and a hard drive!!!
