Can anyone tell me any specifics on filing the N400 form for Naturlazation.... as far as time and steps...
from what I can find...
1. file the form 400( wait approx. 6-9 months for interview.
2. receive appt for fingerprints( during waiting period of interview.
3.wait for swearing in ceremony????
wait kind of waiting time is there for this???
I read on the site that some USCIS offices will do the swearing in at there office??
AT the swearing ceremony -- is that where they get the certificate of naturalization that is needed to apply for passports???

rjstuff says on Jan 3, 2006, 08:57: Not sure where you are applying for I did mine in Denver (several years ago.) And before you can do number 3 - you need to go for the interview! At the interview my interviewee asked me if I was in a hurry as they had some cancellations and I could get my citizenship immediately (that very afternoon!) I said "no - no hurry" and I got the swearing in date in the mail a few weeks later - the swearing in was in about 6 weeks after the interview.
