PBH / colombia (travelguide, pictures) / post |
I forgot to get my shots and will not be able to prior to going to Colombia. I'm only going to be in Cartagena doing the tourist things there. Will drink bottled water, eat a good restaurants etc.. Do you think I'll be ok without the shots?
Thanks

bbattiste says on Feb 28, 2005, 23:24: I would not worry about it... I have been to Cali and Palmira several times in the last year. I spent several weeks each trip and I never got shots. Without even thinking about it, I drank the water, ate the food and did everything that the natives do...I never had a problem except that I had to use the bathroom a little more often.

Next thing I know, I'm helping a local stumble out the door but, I felt fine. And this was after only about 9 shots God Bless America! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

william_andrew_channell says on Mar 1, 2005, 08:00: What shots??? I'm confused. Just be careful with that CosteƱa water. And be careful with the bags of water. Rumor has it that they like to refill them with tap water and reseal them. However I think that it's mostly psychological. If you think you're going to get sick, you probably will. I agree with bbattiste, just do what everybody else does.
