300k/mo is a pretty good price.. It would better if the apt had a security doorman. i assume it's unfurnished(furnish it would be a bargain). You can rent a furnish apt for around 500-700k/mo, by the CAM.

The condos that charge $45US/night is for very short term. I stay 6 weeks and paid 20k(9USD) peso/night(normal price was $40US/night) for room, maid service, breakfast, free high speed internet(for my vonnage ph), free ph call to the US, etc., it was in a VERY exp area, walking distance to Avienda sexta. Still, i wouldn't pay $45US/night even short term, because you can get a 1 bd room(with kitchen/living room) apt/hotel 2 blk fr avienda sexta for 75k/night, has security, ac, etc.,

Barrio san antonio is "decent" area, it's more of a "normal" neighborhood, not "rich/snobby". you COULD walk to avienda sexta but it's a fair distance, 30-40 min. Taxi ride is about 5-10 minutes.
