For Rent: Beach cabin on the Caribbean

If you like a natural, unspoiled, Robinson Crusoe type, environment to spend some relaxing days, you would love this place. It's a two-story, small beach cabin (hut?) built ecologically (with local materials) between the beach and a mangrove lagoon. It is a very basic but comfortable place surrounded by natural beauty: coconut tree lined beaches, coral reefs around Isla Fuerte--a few kms away, rolling hills, mangrove forest.

The region is known as Playa del Viento, or San Bernardo, and it is located about half way between Cartagena and Panama accessible by public transportation from major cities. It is my little hideout--very tranquilo, but I need money to keep it up.

That area is a wonderful place to stay

I usually travel to Moñitos, just after San Bernardo del Viento. Ever been to Moñitos, Jurubida?

Playa del Viento I have been to Monito in the past, it's a beautiful place but getting a bit too crowded for me. I'm just hoping the new road would not create another Covenas of the whole area.

I am somewhat familiar with that area since my wife's mother is from and still lives in Monteria. Do you drive or take the bus from Cartagena or from Monteria? There was a thread with some debate about whether it was safe to take a bus from Cartagena to Monteria.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.
