For Rent: Apartment in Cali

I have an apartment in Cali,Juanambu Barrio,6 blocks from Avenida Sexta up the hill. Its is 4 bedroooms,5 baths,2500 sq ft.Right now I am renting rooms, $40 a night for large room with bath, laundry, breakfast, high speed internet, free calls including to the US on my vonage phone.Itis $25 for a month or longer, plus I have a smaller room, twin bed, with bath,$25 short term,$15 30 days plus.

I am also letting this apartment go on February 1. Usually it takes 2 Colombian co signors to rent an apartment like this but I got around that with one year up front rent. The rent is 1,600,000 pesos a month plus its 500,000 pesos administration I pay. The apartment is FURNISHED, unusual in more expensive place.
So anyone interested.

not necessarily Actually, I walked most of the time from Pete's place. The "hill" was a pain coming back, so I usually took a cab back. Sexta is only about a 4 minute walk from the place, and other than the malls and a few other places, you've got most of what you want fairly close. Nine hundred bucks is high for Cali, but it is a really nice place. I'd try talking them down to $800.

When you're "living" in juanambu.. you're expect to have some dough! LOL! But i know what you mean about that damm hill! sometime when i'm lazy i hail a taxi even when it's only 10 minute walk! Plus all the restaurant/bar around there is expensive, but you can walk down toward the art school and slum with the poor/artist type if you want.

But overall the place is pretty good deal, free phone calls to US, free internet(high speed) AND use of computer in case you didn't bring your labtop. Pete's a pretty laid back guy so he doesn't have problem with people bringing friends back, or even having parties.

As for AC i'm here in OCT/NOV so i didn't need it.

But beside the hill and a little mosquito problem(because the apartment is close to the mountains/hills) i like the place. If i didn't i wouldn't have stayed over a month.
