what's the point? I saw some of the pictures - so what? All of us (frequent fliers) already know enough to eat in the airports (or before getting there) or taking a sandwich on board or a packed meal with us. I do get the airline meal and will take somethings - bread, salad, apple, cookies etc. (if they have it) and eat that and my own meal or having eaten before I really don't need much more.

also, freaking airlines are getting cheap on us.. first take take away the pillows then on many flights they take away the food. Now on domestic routes you on AA, you have to pay for your meals. Hence, most people now eat in the airport or bring food onto the plane.

Fine then The infrequent fliers who wonder what a meal on "foriegn" airline might look like.

I'm not passing judgement on how good it is or looks. Frankly I'm always impressed that soo much food can be prepared and then stored for so long fo passengers to have the luxury of something resembling a meal to eat.

I heard that some airlines removed pillows becuase their passengers were stealing them. I haven't travelled longhaul on any airlines that have removed pillows. I guess that says good things about their passengers (or their profit margin); I must be choosing the right ones :)

Just one piece of advice:

CHECK OUT AIR FRANCE'S MEALS

One example:

Meal type: Dinner smoked salmon with pepper and frisee salad, fillet of halibut in white wine sauce (fillet is poached and served with a white wine sauce and vegetable mirepoix, accompanied by basil spaetzle, asparagus tips and a cherry tomato), cheese selection, dessert praline croquant
Drink: perrier, 12 year old scotch, chassagne-montrachet 1er cru 1998 maison laboure-roi, espresso

Business Class on Avianca from MIA to MDE is great. You won't be disappointed with the service, drinks and food. The seats are much bigger and recline a lot more then AA.
