Flights to Santa Marta

My husband and I are traveling to Bogota in 2 weeks and would like to fly to Santa Marta for a few days. my questions are is it best to purchase those tickets in the US or Colombia? If I purchase them in Bogota, where should I purchase, at airport or agency? What agencies should I contact? Also what is the going rate for plane tickets to Santa Marta, midweek?

It depends how early you want to buy. My understanding is that the earlier you buy, the cheaper.

Also, try Barranquilla as well. It might be cheaper to fly there.
