Flights to Capurgana from .....?

After (admittedly lightly) scouring the forums, I am coming-up short on information. I see there is plenty of info on buses/boats to Capurgana/Acandi, however I was hoping someone could offer some insight on getting there by air. I've been to Rosarios in winter, and would prefer to not relive that experience.

It's my understanding Satena (Searca) has fly-in service. Possibly others do, as well. So my questions are:

- Who flies there?
- From where? (I'm assuming RNG y BOG)
- Are these scheduled flights?
- Luggage restrictions? (I'd like to bring a surfboard and backpack)

Any information would be greatly appreciated.

Cheers!

Satena does not fly there but I did hear there is a small airline out of Medellin that makes the trip out of Olaya Herrera Airport, Aerolínea de Antioquia. I know very little about this airline. What is RNG the code for?? There is a small charter type airline called Searca. According to my telephone book their number in Bogotá (El Dorado I think is (571) 4135626

searca has flights to capurgana 3-4 times a week.
from what i know its the only company flying there on regular bases.
flights goes from medellin airport, olaya.

no problems taking the backback. about the surfboard im not sure, as the plain is small (12-15).
but anyways there is no surfing to do there so you can leave the surfboard in medellin and take it when you return to medellin.

there is a good deal to fly there with hotel almar, that gives you the flight plus the nigth in the hotel, with all the food and drinks includes, the hotel is very nice, has a spa and other services.
i may be able to get you a descount, drop me en email if your intereted yadid10 at hotmail.com

Sorry, RNG (Rio Negro). I forgot about ADA! Their website isn't the easiest to navigate, but I was able to find flights to/from CPB, but will check-back as January gets closer.

I'll have to give them a call, I suppose. The board is small, but still. Almar looks great, even though I was planning on just camping. Who knows.

No surf? I'm not too particular, but this looks pretty tempting...

(hope that worked)

Also have seen plenty of great looking lefts and rights around Sapzurro, as well.

The hotel Almar does packages with the airline(ADA) i think. It is worth staying there on an all inclusive as if you go off season it is very reasonable.Google the Almar and call them for deals. The owner is from Medellin and a very keen diver if that is your thing, the surfing is not that great but the walks and boat trips are spectacular.
Well worth a visit,enjoy!
