If the airline is handling your bags, then 2 hours is cutting it close but you will make it. I'm not sure on the way back home since you have to go through customs.

Then you'll be ok. My husband flew to Cali from Denver via AA and then Avianca. He landed in MIA at 12:30pm and his Avianca flight left at 2:30pm. By the time he was out of the plane, got his boarding pass to Avianca and made it through security, he only had 15 minutes left before the plane took off. But if you only have a carry on, you should be good to go.

Surely 2 hours should be enough to change in the US, even with hold baggage. From Europe to Colombia is obviously easier to fly via Madrid or Paris because the USA doesn’t really understand the concept of Transit but even so surely 2 hours is enough?

Yes coming back, I fly to madrid on the 5th then on to england on the 7th, seems they dont fly or there are no seats on saturday. I come back on the 13th.

I found my flight on Avianca for this trip Bog-Mad-Bog for 3,156,00 cop. expensive yes but I was able to use miles to offset. The cheap part was the leg from Madrid to England. I think it is cheaper than Mia-Bog-Mia

I couldn't find any cheaper fare for mad-bog-mad for the 2nd week of December trip than WHOLE london-bogota-london via miami route

I know what you mean...to be honest this will be my first "official" visit to the UK. but I have been watching the prices. December is always more expensive no matter where you go. When I go home to the States I have to do the Miami shuffle so I know it is a pain in the ass. I hope you find the cheapest way.

I was watching Caracol Internacional last night and this show "Signo Pesos" came on that was really good. They had a segment about Colombia's airlines and interviewed this lady from some airline, I believe it's called Air Comet and she said that they now have flights from London and Madrid to Colombia for $540. One way was like $250. She made a big deal about it but I don't know if it's true or not.
