Kevin67 I was just asking this same question last night to some Colombian friends I have in Armenia. They are trying to find out for me, I will let you know if I get any info. I will be in Armenia August 12 to the 29. When will you be there?

Where will you be staying at? I normally stay at Hotel Armenia Estelar but this time I am looking for a finca while I am there. It is like a big house with yard space with a pool, Jacuzzi, billiard, table tennis, etc.

First off Peter in Miami, here´s a copy of a response Ijust put on the posting about Parque Tayrona (saves paging around and looking it up:

"Peter Miami, Sorry for sounding like a dick yesterday. I checked out some of your other posts and got a different view now. Hey, I read "Special Forces", "Marines", "steroids", "not afraid to die", "nothing to lose"...and more like that in one paragraph and well, paints an interesting picture to say the least. Not saying all that stuff doesn´t pretain to you, just seeing it that compacted and all at once can be a bit overwhelming. Hope no harm done."

Ok about the gym in Armenia. I´ve been to several. There´s one in the center that well, I guess might pass in a pinch, but not recommended. I don´t remember the name, but since I don´t recommend it, who cares. I go to the Super Gym (sounds kind of fruity, I know) but it is about the best one here. They actually have barbells, dumbells and machines that work. Lot´s of nice women and if you are into implants (both chest and butt) then you will all be in heaven. Nice culo view as you walk in because it is a huge aerobics room (always packed) with women facing away from you. A lot of men I see have no shame and just sit there for like a half hour at a shot watching the show.
I can´t remember how much it is, but it is near the "Fogata" restauraunt. The address is Calle 15N #12-18. I t can get quiet and hot from 10-4. the hours are:
M-F technically 6 AM, but it is open at about 4:30AM, closes at 9PM
Sat 9AM to 3PM
Sun sure, right, camp out until monday.

Bufalo Thank you for the 411 on the gym. Do you live there in Armenia? Maybe we can hook-up? My friend owns King Burger (they spell it wrong there) it is at Calle 48 No. 20-75 Barrio Las Acacias. He sells the best hamburger I ever had in Colombia along with other foods and beer. I hang out there until we go out dancing.

The one my cousin goes to is named 'ATLAS'. It's located at 'Calle 12 and Carrera 16'. He also told me about a more expensive one called 'SuperGym by Quindío University and one called 'Royal' by the 'Coliseo de Cafe'.

Atlas, that´s the one in the city center, not worth it when it is packed because you can´t move, plus the equipment in Super is a lot better. A positive about Atlas is that (this info is from last year) at about 7pm or so, a number of people, hence women hang out in the sauna after working out. Hey, they´re already half-naked and sweaty......

Peter Miami, I haven´t ever eaten there, but will maybe pass throuugh sometime soon. I saw you will be here.....August 16 for two weeks or so? Right now we should be going to the states for August or at least part of it, but if not, sure. Any luck with the finca? As far as buying land here, remember I´m a real ametuer at this, but I see it a s a really good investment, especially long-term.

The owners name is Oscar he is Colombian and a very good friend of mine. Go by or just let me know and I will take care of your tab. I will be there August 12 to the 29 they will have parties for me there as soon as I get there. I am single and he introduces Colombian women to me by the handful. Everyone is always asking him when is the “Gringo” coming I have become popular from him introducing me. He is very popular in Armenia because he was born and raise there plus he has own his business for a long time. We are renting a “Shiva” (spelling) for a whole night on my second weekend on Saturday. I am getting prices and locations from colombianbusiness a member of PBH. As far as buying an apartment I am going to look around some more while I am there. Some local have told me to invest in Armenia and also I have seen Armenia grow a lot in three years that I have been going. How far is Super Gym from my friends place?

The only "shiva" type thing j that i heard about is like when the jews circumsice baby boys, and I have a good idea that is NOT what you will be doing. I´ll try to figure it out.... we should be in the states for the month of August, we´re definitely leaving the first week, but hopefully won´t have to stay all that long. I´ll get back to you about when we´ll be here. We have to go to keep my wife´s residency in the US.

OK, my wife just called me a moron with good reason. the circumsicion is a "bris", not a "shiva". She then reminded me, and it became instantly clear that you´ll be renting a "chiva". One of those open air buses with music and stuff. I have no idea how I missed that one.

haji Hello Chris,

Where is the building at I am definitely looking into buying an apartment. I am going to be looking while I am in Armenia from August 12 to the 29. Does the building have security and secure parking. I am not moving to Colombia but I will definitely go at least 5 times a year. I need the secure parking because I am also going to buy a car. I spend a lot of money on rent a cars. What is the name of the gym and where is it at? I am renting a chalet in El Tebiada this is close to the plant correct? What is the name of the motorcycle plant?

Thanks,
