First time trip to Medellian

First off have really enjoyed this discussion forum concerning Colombia. I am travelling from New York City for the first time to Medellianfor 10 days and was wondering if anyone had information on places to stay and things to do. Also is there a health club for swimming and weight room anywhere in Medellian? Any info would be appreciated..thanks
