Nice to have this ! I dont know who, but Im coming, I live in Medellin and hope to meet people there, HGave lots of friends coming thru the year to Medellin, they will love to be here, but none of them are in the country.

Del 29 de julio al 7 de agosto se realizará el certamen que fue declarado Patrimonio Cultural de la Nación.

Si nunca ha visitado a Medellín durante la temporada de la Feria de las Flores, este es el momento perfecto para tomar la decisión y pasar una semana en la ‘Ciudad de la eterna primavera’.

Una de las novedades fue iniciativa de los habitantes del corregimiento de Santa Elena, cuna de los tradicionales silleteros.
A raíz del interés de los turistas por visitar a los silleteros en sus propias fincas, la población se organizó para ofrecer toda la semana un paquete turístico que incluye recorrido por el corregimiento, visitas a los silleteros y hasta alojamiento para el que desee pernoctar en una típica casa campesina.

Este año también será la primera vez en la que los silleteros desfilarán con el vestido tradicional. Los hombres lucirán pantalón negro, camisa blanca, sombrero aguadeño y paruma. Las mujeres, falda negra, enaguas, camisa y pañoleta blancas. Las flores pintadas a mano le darán un alegre colorido a la ropa
