Firewood

Got a new apt in Candelaria, came with a fireplace that i'd love to use but all i can seem to find to burn is little scraps from a carpenter down the block. They are great to start a fire but they burn quick. Anyone know where to find some good firewood? Anyone have a little extra to get rid of?

Hola!

Since it is challenging to find the wood, did you look at the cost to convert it to run on natural gas or propane? Of course if you are a renter, it makes no sense from a financial point of view unless the landlord will pay for all or some of the improvement.

I brought a big Charcoal grill from the USA and found out that the cost of charcoal locally in Cali makes it financially only viable to be used for parties, but not for everyday use. Possibly, you could find others beyond 1 block from you that produce furniture as your source for scrap wood.
