For those too cash poor or time poor to travel to Colombia here is an idea. Teach English classes here in the U.S. You will have more encounters to fulfill your xenophilic desires tahn you can shake a stick at. I know because I did this to help keep myself occupied and learn about spanish and other cultures. It was a real kick and if I wasn't madly in love my overseas wife I could have been seduced many times.
Heck I was even once offered a great deal of money to marry someones sister. When I suggested that she ask my wife if it was a good offer she blushed deeply...jejeje.
Seriously you would be providing a service that is greatly appreciated and learning a very marketable skill for living and working in Colombia at the same time. If my schedule ever permits me to do so again in the future I will in a heartbeat and my wife will be right there as well I am sure!

Can you go into more detail how to go about this. I have never been a teacher, my field is computers. Did you teach at a local college or adult ed through a high school?
