Finca in Armenia

I will be in Colombia from August 12 to the 29th. I am flying into Cali and renting a car I will stay in Cali that weekend. Then I will go to Armenia, I was going to stay in Hotel Estelar Armenia like I have done may times but some Colombia friends I have met over there told me it would be better to rent a “Finca (spelling) with pool and the whole works like that after clubs we can all go back to the “Finca and party there until morning. Can anyone here help me on how to find a “Finca to rent for about two weeks in or around Armenia? Your assistance would be greatly appreciated.

Regards,

Good Idea. Just Remember..... the closer you get to the Park (Parque Nacional del Café) the more expensive.

Here is a good link. Just click the word "ALOJAMIENTO" in the center of the page about 2/3 inches down. All in Spanish but lots of pictures and prices (all in pesos).

Most beautiful part of Colombia IMHO. I will ask Mrs. Gator (N0! Her first name is NOT Ali)if she remember the one we stayed at several times.

La Reina just strolled in and said the name is Finca Cafetera Los Nogales. Web site is http://fincasquindio.com/fincas_nogales1.html#

Armenia finca I made reservations for a finca at www.colombialodgingresources.com , they have great service and know a lot about Colombia, I got low cost in country airfare from their travel agent, airport pick up etc. Also got a good price on a rental car. (much less than the airport price) and got a lot of information about how NOT to get ripped of as a tourist.

I stayed almost across the street from the National Cafe Park and paid about $20.00 a night.

chalets are very nice and would be the ideal (especially if there are 3 or more people with you)
some chalets start at about $400.000 pesos for the day and most would have a swimming pool.
This is a nice site that has some chalets in montenegro.
My friend's father in law also runs a very beautiful chalet on the way to el Eden airport...if you are fluent in Spanish i'm more than happy to pass you his details.
My dad inherited a chalet but he swapped it for a whorehouse that his brother inherited.

Chalets Thank you cockney_colombian. What is a chalet?

quindioman says on Jul 20, 2005, 00:55:

un chalet, pronounced CHA-LE, is what we quindianos call an hacienda/finca type.....obviously there are subtle differences but generally una finca/farm you would grow produce/rear animals....this is not necessarily the case with un chalet/una hacienda...in a chalet it's all about relaxing and being with friends and/or family

Oh how I would love to meet Greenday in person but he is scare. He told me to send him my e-mail which I did and he did not answer back. He says he is a very good looking, strong, women magnet type of man but he won't submit his pictures. I would fly anywhere around the world to straight him out.

Peter Miami I have a friend that owns a finca and you could rented for about 200.000 to 250.000 pesos for 5 cuartos, pool, jacuzi, pool table and many more things.

Peter Miami says on Jul 22, 2005, 12:55:

OscarArmenia Are you playing around because so far the prices I have been getting for fincas around Armenia are $350,000 COP to 550,000 COP. For 3 to 5 bedrooms, pool, Jacuzzi, stereo, volleyball, basketball, micro soccer (football), ping pong, billiard, other table games, hammocks and other amenities.
What I do not understand is that they will not deal with me on days. Most people rent a finca for 4 or 5 days, I am going to rent it for 13 to 16 days. I would expect a better price for such a long period. I found one or two for $300,000 but it does not have most of these things.
If you are serious I am interested in knowing more details on the amenities, I need at least two bedrooms with big beds. The finca is for me and a friend, of course I will have some women visitors and friends once in a while. I would like it as close to Armenia as possible. I would like hot water because the water in Colombia is cold? Also any information you could give me.

Thank you,

Peter Miami

I want to visit Armenia when I am in Colombia next month; however, I have looked at "fincas", and they are a little bit far from Armenia. Are there any good hotels where I can stay for 3 days in Armenia preferably in the center of the city? Thanks.
