The petitions finally got approved by USCIS for my wife and stepdaughter. I'm sooo happy that I heard something about it. Now it's time to get ready for everything else. Also, I'm supposed to be Traveling to Colombia again for work, so I'm hoping to be able to spend time with them for their interview. So long as the NVC can process the case's quickly. One step down at least.

bbattiste says on Aug 23, 2005, 09:21: Dan...K-3 or CR-1 Only I did not file a K-3 and when the petitions for my wife and step son were approved on July 6th I was very happy thinking the process was almost complete. I was wrong!!! It has just began. It took 6 weeks to receive the Affidavit of Support Fee Bills. I sent them back immediately and they were received two days ago. Now the NVC says it will be another 4-6 weeks before they are processed. It seems like an eternal process. Had I filed a K-3, I think she would have an interview sometime next month. At this rate, we'll be lucky to have one in December. Good Luck Dan.

Dan says on Aug 23, 2005, 11:25: bbattiste I filed only CR1. Since I'm going back to Colombia for work, I'm hoping I can get everything done before I go. I'm supposed to leave for Colombia at the end of Sep. I'm looking forward to getting it all done. I've started looking around on VisaJourney website and getting some info there too. Probably don't have to look to hard to see where I am over there. Anyway, I need to email my wife and get some stuff from her. God Bless America! |

utopiacowboy says on Aug 23, 2005, 15:44: For anyone who's interested it's not too late to file for a K-3. As of August 18, 2005 they are processing K-3 petitions dated July 22, 2005. Some have been approved in as little as two weeks. Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult. |

Dan says on Aug 24, 2005, 04:44: UC Yeah, no kidding. Those K3's are flying right through the service centers. I was kicking myself for not doing the K3 but glad the CR1 is processed and will soon be over with. God Bless America! |
