Finally she received the Green Card Dec, 07 2006

Yes ,She got it!!! I applied for k-1 visa back in Sept. 2005 . I thought it did not take too long; with patient and knowledge we follow the process. Although she end up taken the Medical Exams again... Yes , again !. They claim that never got it. Oppss!! I believe this another "trick" to make more revenues or place more barriers for Immigrants.(I come to find out this happend quite often !!) . AfterI paid US$ 150.00 to a Doctor visit we went back within a week to get the final approval. I'd like TO THANKS everyone, who participate in this forum for all the great advised received thru this process . If, anyone would like to hear more about my experienced , please feel free to send me you e-mail . Sincerely Arrowphx.

The problem with AOS is that you are at the mercy of the local USCIS office which handles the application. True the applications all go to the same Chicago address but ultimately it's the local office's speed or lack thereof which is the final factor. If you're lucky enough to have the San Antonio office your AOS will be processed in 4 months or less. Elsewhere you may wait years. It just doesn't seem fair to me and I would argue that such a disparity in processing time is a denial of equal protection under the constitution. What if the mail or tax refunds were handled in the same inequitable manner? Some places you get your refund promptly - other places you wait a couple of months. Only in the USCIS is this kind of crapola allowed to happen.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.
