The website is usually updated by the middle of the month for the following month's interviews. I noticed that it is the 22nd already and they still have not posted the interview schedule for October. This has happened before where they did not post the next month's appointments until a day or so before. Of course she should have received a letter with the interview date - this is what gets her into the embassy. Sounds like she will get an interview in November.

Disclaimer: any comment I make is inane and is not to be taken seriously, and is so patently ridiculous that no one should take it seriously, even as an insult.

delay... thanks for the info.

i hope that the website is updated soon...... and i hope that she gets an interview date in october as well.

but i guess we'll just have to be patient.

p.s. for anyone wondering, the process started 03/05/04 and was filed at texas service center. so i guess if she has an interview in november and everything is approved, she should be back around the first of december, which will make the whole process 9 months.

Interview date D-Have you tried calling the Embassy on Tuesday between 3-4 PM? I also emailed the Embassy on August 23 and received a reply September 20 with my interview date which is in October. We received our packet #3 from Bogotá on Sept 1 and packet #4 on September 20. The I-129F was received by the California USCIS on March 22. It is the 6 months anniversary for me today. :-(

Interview
I just returned from my fiances interview which was held on September 3rd. The embassy gave us about 5 weeks notice before the date of the interview. I was surprised at how many people were waiting at the embassy in Bogota. If you go with your fiance, I can reccomend a little bed and breakfast type place that is within walking distance of the embassy and is also a safe neighborhood.
Also if you go, make sure that you go a couple of days in advance because you will have to have your fiance get her medical exam and then you will have to pay a bank 110 dollars and it will have to be in Pesos. The man at the window basically looked at many photos of me and my fiance together and asked a couple of questions. Also, if they grant the visa to your fiance, they will notify you that it is granted at the embassy but they will send the visa to your fiances residence and it takes between 10 to 21 days so do not buy a plane ticket for your fiance to return with you because you will not have a specific date.

As long as the relationship is genuine, you should have no problem in obtaining a Visa.

Medical the medical exam for fiance/spouse is handled my only two or three doctors. These 2 or 3 are the ONLY ones the embassy will allow. and I believe in one of the packets has the info for contacts/address of them.

God Bless America!
