Hi All
I am a filmaker from England and plan to shoot a feature film in Medellin. The film is about two young boys whose friendship falls apart when one of them gets involved with guns and violence.
Does anyone know of other filmakers in Colombia and or Medellin? Any discussion groups etc
Help would be appreciated.
Best wishes

Is there any particular reason why you want to film it in Medellin? The city needs desperately to show its other side, the nice side, for the good of its people. And for a city that is wanting to change its perception around the world, films with these themes are not helping at all, plus the theme could easily be based in North London or East LA, so why Medellin?

elmodefoque says on Mar 29, 2005, 07:20: Believe or not, we had many c Believe it or not, we had many cases of love triangle, 2 boys and burra, resulting in death. Getting whack with a machete across the head, thought not painful, is not a pretty sight. Some guys become very attached and extremely possessive and jealous of their burras. I did not speak to my younger brother for nearly two years after I heard rumors of their (my burra and him) tryst. I'll get there, when I get there! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

elmodefoque says on Mar 29, 2005, 07:31: UP, that’s why I found out, she DID NOT squeal for me. You see my brother, that lucky bastard is hung like a burro, and so after I made love to my burra and she did not even blink, I knew my brother had something to do with it. I'll get there, when I get there! 0 funny, 0 helpful. |

Gadianton says on Jun 7, 2005, 08:37: juanalejo I've travelled all around the world and, to be brutally honest, I hardly hear about Medellin's problems with guns and violence. While you hear about Los Angeles (which IS far safer) all the time.
