film festival in medellin

one of my sons is a film maker--aspiring--and has been invited to submit his short to the bogota film festival.

he chatted with me yesterday and asked if there was a festival in medellin. i had no answer.

i told him i was pretty sure that there was one in cartagena, but wasn't sure if there was one in medellin.

any of you folks better informed on this?

Medellin Film festival There is a large film festival in Santa Fe de Antioquia the former capital of Antioquia located 2 hours outside Medellin. Santa Fe de Antioquia looks very simular but is much larger than Cartegena's historic old town, and is a picturesque setting for a film festival.

vlad...thanks, yeah, i'm well familiar with sante fe. just didn't know about the festival there.

some years ago, there was a popular telenovela, 'la casa de los dos palmas' that was produced there. a friend of mine, cristobal erizures was the villan in the series. and yes, sante fe is great. in fact, it's just about my favorite pueblo. thanks.
