Let's see... 20th of July is independence day with a military parade in centre of Bogotá. The 6th of August is the birthday of Bogotá, summer carnaval parade in the centre of the city. Until now the last two weekends of July there was also a gastronimcal festival 'Alimentarte' in El Virrey Park in Northern Bogotá (however there's a lawsuit at the moment from neighbours wanting to prevent this festival in 2007). Salsa al Parque somewhere in July... check also:
