Crazy4Cali says on Sep 5, 2007, 12:19: If she is going back in Nov. then read up on what docs you need from her for the fiance visa application and get those before she leaves. Do some reading here on this site and on VisaJourney.com. If you need someone to tell you the step-by-step process, you'll probably have better luck hiring a lawyer. If you're up for doing some research, the details are there to be found and it's not that complicated. Heck, you could probably start the process while she's still here.

Robert Jorge says on Sep 5, 2007, 21:20: Visajourney is great info. But for me, it was overwhelming. I actually learned the fundamentals here, and then fine-tuned my knowledge at visajourney. The great thing about visajourney, is they have actual, down-loadable forms and sample letters, etc. For official forms, go to the USCIS (immigration) website and download from them. To figure out what you need, like a poster said above, just take a few days and research this site and visajourney. And it is a great idea to get started now with accumulating what you will need with the initial petition. It is called the I-129. You will need evidence of your relationship, like copies of photos that have both of you together; 10 to 15 is sufficient. The initial paperwork is relatively easy to accumulate, and I recommend avoiding an attorney. It is a waste of money - unless you have extreme circumstances. --"I believe in making the world safe for our children.
