Festivals in Sep-oct

I'll be in Colombia for a few weeks starting sep 23. I'm trying to sort of map out my route, and I was wondering if there are any special events during this time that would be worth a de-tour. I'll be landing in Bogata, and I'm going to spend some time in San Andres...other than that, I'm open. So between the other major cites, can anyone suggest someting special? Thanks.

Festivals Unfortunately you´ll be visiting Colombia in the "driest" months of the year "festivalwise". The last major festival was in Medellin, two weeks ago, the Flower festival. Then there´s nothing until december 8th. Anyway, there´s plenty to do and visit in Colombia so don´t worry. You´ll have fun. There´s plenty to do in the cities.
While in San Andres take a boat or a plane to Providence Island.

Rock al Parque There's Rock al Parque - a free, three-day rock concert in Bogota. There are also other types of music and there are concerts going on all over the city, day and night. It's on on 30, 31 Oct and 1 Nov, which might be a bit late for you.

Fiestas de las Araucarias As it's been said, there are no major festivals in Colombia those months.

However, if you're in the area and in the mood for some real authentic small-town colombian partying, you could visit my hometown Santa Rosa de Cabal. The "Fiestas de las Araucarias" take place mainly the second weekend of october, it's always a long weekend in Colombia, and people from all over the region come to have a great time on the crowded streets or to participate in special events.

Santa Rosa de Cabal is a very peaceful and inviting town, located right in the middle of the main road linking Medellin and Cali.
