There will be many events this year:

- Coffee Beauty Pageant(Reinado del Cafe)
- Feria Concert (Jorge Celedon, Silvestre Dangond, Los Gigantes del Vallenato and more...)
- Plaza de Bolivar Concert (Mahelo Ruiz!, Johny Rivera, Grupo Gale and more..)
- Trova Festival
- Tango Festival
- Fireworks
- Art Shows / Exhibits
- Arrieria Festival (In honour of Antioqueño Arriero Culture).
- Expoferias (I personally recommend this event, there are several tents set up in different pavilions, you can buy artwork, food and just about anything under the sun, this year's was great).
- Bullfights: Cesar Rincon and others (not a fan of bullfights personally, but that is what the feria is about).
- Cabalgata

I also heard the rebuilt the corredor polaco stairs and built and elevator so now you can go to the top of the cathedral and have a nice view of the city (that used to be quite a climb back in the days of the old wooden steps).

Okay, I guess the videos of the cathedral don't make Manizales look so hip! LOL.

Here are some bands from Manizales, San Alejo:

Colombiche, I get these weird feeling that you really like the Feria de Manizales....

I'm going to have to tell my mom to go, so that I can live through the experience vicariously....

Until, I can make it out there.... One of these days....

I like la feria, I was there last year had a blast but Manizales is my hometown and I have seen a few people inquiring about Manizales and the feria these days, so wanted to post some info.

My cheque from Fomento y Turismo Manizales should be coming in the mail soon.... written to "La Embajadora" jajaja.

Manizales was a nice city. I stayed in the cracked-out neighbourhood right opposite the bus terminal. The daughter of the owner of the hotel was so kind and helpful, she was genuinely a good person. She drove me round when I found myself in a tight situation, helped me out every way she knew how. 3 days was not enough time to get to know the city, hopefully I'll get a chance to go back

Maninred, you stayed around La Galeria. That is possibly the dirtiest, ugliest area of Manizales, has always been.

I can vouch for the Manizales ferias as well. Nothing out of this world, but a fun time to get to know the city. Though it's mostly booze flowing all over the city, I highly recommend checking out the Coffee Exposition in the Recinto del Pensamiento and the Parque Los Yarumos. Hopefully it won't get rained out this year.
