Feria de las Flores in Medellin. Need exact date of festival in August, please!!!!!!!!!

I am so excited to be returning to Colombia. I need the exact dates for the festival so I can start to plan my trip. I found a web site but did not see the exact dates. Please help!!!!

2.) A colombian friend from Cartagena wants to wait till 30 days before festival to book a hotel room.
Are there many people traveling from other cities and staying at the hotels?????

It will be... This year it is the 1/7 August. Finding a room should be no problem but I would give myself about 45 days just to be sure. Populkar festival and does attract people from all parts of Colombia.

Flower Parade The most important date to bear in mind is the day of the big flower parade, unfortunately each year they seem to change the exact date. This year probably the parade will take place on saturday, august 7th or on sunday august 8th. The festival begins the previous weekend, there are all sorts of activities, parades, etc. So I´d say you get there arount august 1st.
The hotels get a bit crowded so you better try to make your reservations in advance, but I think about 20 days would be ok.
