Two Colombian festivals coincide with my visit of the country, Feria de Cali (25 Dec - 1 Jan) and Feria de Manizales (second week of January). I'm thinking about visiting one of them or perhaps even both. Have anybody here attended any of the mentioned festivals yet? Would love to hear about your experience.
Nice web site about these festivals (with the program!) would be fully appreciated as well.
Thanks!!

Pickpockets and criminals travel to ferias in "busloads". I have lost my cell phone and 200K pesos. Do not drive your car during feria, no cell or secure inside your pocket, be careful in crowds for pickpockets, they are pro's. Otherwise, it is fun. Whole city shuts down. Come and visit. You are welcome. Joe

You get a picture anyway what happens in Cali during your typical feria. There may not be a horse parade "silllycones on horseback" this year, though, there has been too much drunken animal abuse generating aversion and protests. Check with http://www.caliescali.com/html/sitio/index.php when the pages stops blinking and flashing there's usually some good info there about the "rumba" in Cali "When shall we three meet again?
