FARC STORY ON CNN INTERNATIONAL TODAY AT LUNCH

When I came home from lunch today just caught the tail end of this story. All I caught was when the FARC who posed as soldiers in Cali in 2002(?) persuaded the politicians to come with them to escape the perceived threat. It was sad because you saw some of the Politocos smiling like the poser Colombian soldiers were just going to temporarily interrupt them and then bring them back to Cali.

Does anyone know why they aired it? I think it had to something to do with Hugo's recent negotiations to exchange prisoners.

Just a random guess, but I do think that's got more to do with the recovery of the bodies and Chavez's antics than "Don Diego" 's death...he wasn't really involved in that incident as far as we know.
